THz Communications: From Hardware-Aware Detection to Wavefront Engineering
October 30 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

This seminar presents research on terahertz (THz) communications, focusing on transmitter hardware impairments and wavefront engineering. The first part investigates the impact of digital-to-analog converter (DAC) impairments and phase noise on THz communication systems. A hardware-aware signal model and pilot-assisted semi-coherent detection framework are presented, along with analytical error-rate expressions and their implications for pilot spacing, modulation order, and constellation design. The second part introduces ongoing research on THz wavefront engineering, focusing on how different beam profiles influence signal detection in THz communication systems.
