Extensive recent research has targeted advancedsignaling and MAC-layer designs to enhance the resilience, connectivity, andQoS of next-generation wireless networks. Optimizing these architectures relieson the derivation of fundamental performance metrics, including error rate,outage probability, and ergodic capacity. This presentation presents novelsignal design with superior performance and reviews existing performanceanalysis criteria, highlighting their limitations, and introduces novel analyticalframeworks that pave the way for future research paradigms.
